TREVOSE, PENNSYLVANIA, NOVEMBER 01, 2010, A new funeral home, Stillman’s Memorial Chapel, will open on November 01, 2010. Stillman’s will lease space from Joseph Levine & Sons Memorial Chapel, at 4737 Street Road in Trevose, PA.
“Stillman’s was created with the community in mind, looking to serve people of all faith traditions,” said Elena A. Austin, Funeral Director. Under the supervision of Ms. Austin, Stillman’s will provide the full spectrum of funeral and planning services: traditional funerals and cremations, in-home consultations, pre-arrangements, aftercare counseling and “green burials” based on certification by the Green Burial Council of America, a non-profit organization that encourages the use of burial as a means of facilitating the restoration, acquisition and stewardship of natural resources. www.greenburialcouncil.org
“Stillman’s has been developed based on two principles: value for the services offered and compassionate care for all,” according to Ms. Austin. The strategic partnership with Levine’s permits Stillman’s to have economies of scale which will be passed on to families providing this start-up business an opportunity to grow in the current economic environment through serving the value conscious consumer.
In sharing space with Levine’s , Stillman’s will have access to a state-of-the-art facility with modern, comfortable arrangement offices and merchandise selection room, plus two spacious chapels – a small chapel seats up to 120 and a large chapel with seating capacity over 350. Ample parking is available for more than 120 vehicles.
“Ms. Austin came to us with a vision of how to better serve her community,” said Brian Levine, co-owner of Levine’s. “Her optimism, passion and drive to create a truly unique funeral provider only fueled our willingness to help her in any way that we could as we look towards a strong working relationship.” Ms. Austin is a New Hope Solebury School Graduate, has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Lycoming College and is a licensed Funeral Director in the State of Pennsylvania.
Stillman’s will post street front signage alongside the Levine’s signage. Both organizations will use the facility on non-conflicting occasions. At some point in the future, Stillman’s will expand to a separate facility as the business grows.
