Edna Alviar Rabago of Newtown died suddenly on Friday, January 3, 2014. She was 71.

Edna was born on February 18, 1942 in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines. She obtained her nursing degree from Dagupan College of Nursing in the Philippines and came to the United States in 1967. She was very proud to become a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1986. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Lower Bucks Hospital from 1979 until 2007 when she retired.

Edna loved to shop, play mahjong with her friends, and watch tennis and Flyers hockey. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially on vacations and cruises.

Edna was the devoted mother of Jocelyn Adrian (Steve) and John (Kim). She has five grandchildren: Arianna, Brett, Grace, Dean, and Gwen; two sisters – Redempta Alviar Catbagan (Rodolfo) and Lolita Alviar Ostrea (Luetelio) both reside in the Philippines; and one deceased brother, Edmund Alviar. Edna was also very much loved by her sisters-in-laws, their husbands and children: Rosalinda Rabago Magno (Dionisio), Julieta Rabago Garcia (Renato), Aurora Rabago Maniwang (Jose), and Teresita Rabago. Her many nieces and nephews, along with their children, world-wide will also miss their “Mommy”/Auntie Edna.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing Thursday, 6:30pm-8:30pm at Stillman's Memorial Chapel, 4737 Street Road, Trevose, PA 19053, then again at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Ave, Penndel, PA 19047, Friday, 9:15-10:45am followed by Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Grace Church.
