Thomas J. Brotherton II passed away on Friday, May 27th surrounded by family and friends at the age of 68. He was the beloved husband of Carole; loving father of Wendy (David), Terri (Eric) and Thomas (Meghan) along with 6 cherished grandchildren; Melanie, Ryan, Kyle, Thomas, Sadie and Fallon. Tom was survived by his two sisters, Sandra and Denise along with several nieces and nephews.
Tom was a retired SEPTA overhead foreman and past fire inspector for Lower Southampton Twp. For the past 31 years he was a member of Trevose Fire Company in which the last position he held was fire police captain but also a life member.
His dedication to charitable causes led him to being a chaplain with Washington Lodge No.59 F&AM as well as a junior warden of the DeJoinville Council, Princes of Jerusalem with the Valley of Phila. AASR. Also, he was a member of Temple Melita RAC No. 183 and other Masonic organizations.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, June 2nd at Stillman’s Funeral Home at 4737 Street Road, Trevose from 9 am to 10 am followed by his service at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Philadelphia at 1700 Tomlinson Road, Philadelphia, Pa. 19116.
